Hi y'all! We’re Jeremy (L) & Nate (R) — two guys who discovered that addiction can be a powerful force when channeled into the right things. Being Proudly Addicted to your passions is actually great for the mind, body and soul.
JEREMY’S HIGH — “STONED WAS MY IDENTITY”
• Addiction: 27-year wake-and-bake cycle—sunrise to lights-out, repeat.
• Belief: “High Jeremy = Accepted Jeremy.”
• Reality check: Multiple intense panic-attacks that were downright scary.
• Aftermath: Fourteen clean months → relapse → an even uglier scare → loving the wagon.
Ultimate lesson: quit or risk stroke—or worse. Get high from my passions.
NATE’S BUZZ — “IT’S JUST ONE DRINK”
• Addiction: Nightly pours that turned into weekend blackouts.
• Belief: “Functional alcoholic.”
• Reality check: One blackout too many → probation + five-figure fees.
• Aftermath: Sober since that run in with the law → 3 years so far.
Ultimate lesson: clearer mornings, zero lost nights, more money saved for my passions.
HOW THE NAME DROPPED
It wasn’t a life-or-death epiphany; it was a spontaneous feeling on Nate’s couch while Jeremy was deep into a game of Fortnite when he blurted:
“Dude, I’m proudly addicted to this game!”
The phrase hung there—first as an emotional reaction, then as a light bulb moment.
